The Legend of Dekkane
he Legend of Dekkane is a compilation of various pieces of myth and knowledge passed down from generations past. The Legend tells of the creation of Itsumo and of the Royal bloodline's descent up to the current day, the reign of Roland Sellos XXVI. Several other Legends and stories were created around the tales presented in this Legend, and in a way, this is the Legend that gave birth to almost all other stories of Itsumo. Several editions of this tale have been made by many different authors, but this version is the mostly common and widely accepted one.

t all started with the Gods. They lived in peace in a place called Dekkane, untouched by war or greed. Roland and Aisea Sellos, the God and Goddess of Angels, had an angelic son named Ceydic. He was to become the next God of Angels, when Roland's time came to an end. As Ceydic grew, Roland began to wish he could leave more than his title for his son. One day, he got an idea. He took feathers from his wings and with them crafted a map of a perfect world where he hoped his son could live. One night as Roland slept, Aisea placed her hand on the map, and let her angelic power flow into it. The map shone and the world began to take form. Mountains rose and forests came to life. Aisea stood in the grass of the new world, and all was silent. Roland found Aisea there, her power almost gone. He gave her some of his strength to save her, and from then on, they lived as mortals in the new world they called Itsumo.
eydic grew up in the North half of Itsumo. He created the city of Havvan and a religion around himself, being the last direct descendant of the God of Angels. As he gained followers, he changed his name to Ceydic Havvan. The spot where Roland and Aisea first stood upon the world's creation was the foundation of what would become the great city of Atarus. During their mortal lives, Roland and Aisea had another son named Adrias. Roland died soon afterwards, and Adrias became the King of Atarus. Adrias named his son Roland II, and from then on, the sons of Adrias married with the daughters of Sara Pellaru, the Goddess of Elves, and kept divine blood in the Atarian Royalty. During the 20th generation of Atarus, young Prince William died in battle before he could become King. His brother, Roland XXI had gone to try and find the land of Dekkane, and could not take the throne. Roland XX was nearing the end of his days, and for the first time in history, would have to choose a successor other than his son. He appointed his good friend Darian Vardus. Unknown to the people of Itsumo, Roland XXI had found Dekkane sooner than he had thought he would. He became King of that long forgotten land and carried on the royal bloodline there.
arian Vardus lead Atarus for five more generations. As Domenius Vardus, the 6th son of Darian, was to inherit the throne, Roland XXVI returned from Dekkane, to warn the people of a demonic threat that was spreading throughout the holy land. Upon seeing true royal blood return to Itsumo, Darian Vardus the 5th asked his son Domenius to step down and handed the throne to Roland. Domenius was outraged, and fled by sea to the desert in the West, where he changed his name to Domenius WarFang and began building a resistance force to Atarus' power.
ver several years, WarFang's troops had grown to tens of thousands. He then sent a messenger to Havvan to set in motion a plan he had created to trick Ceydic. The messenger brought the news of growing armies in Atarus to Ceydic, and convinced him that they were betrayers who were preparing to march on Havvan. Ceydic was outraged by this so called deception, and sent his own messenger to Atarus to declare war on them. Atarus did not understand why Ceydic had become so aggressive, and had no choice but to declare him an enemy as well. Back in Kadome, Domenius had watched his scheme execute perfectly. All Three Nations were now at war. There was no time to waste, he immediately began preparations for what would be the greatest battle the world had ever seen.
